Just to be a bit cheeky, instead of answering Kit's questioning of reality, Millicent pinched her arm gently. With a wink, she began to head back outside, when her friend indicated she didn't want to take a break. Which she certainly respected. "I mean... Sometimes I pick out more modest hotels when I'm traveling, but I really enjoy Cairo and figured if I had the opportunity to treat myself, why not?" giving a small shrug she led them down the road towards a coffee shop she knew Kit would enjoy. "Besides, one of the men I set up my contract with seemed to have a little crush, and I know when to use things to my advantage. So this is where I'll be for another two weeks, and then we'll see what my future holds," she explained further, with a small chuckle.
Soon they made their way to the shop, Millie holding open the door to allow her friend to enter first and she slid in behind her, eyes travelling the menu. "They speak English here, by the way. But if you want to try to order in Arabic, they always appreciate it." With a small shrug, she stepped forward, ordering a latte with an extra shot and stepped aside for Kit. Only once they were all paid up did Millie head for a table close to the window so they could enjoy the sight of passing people.
"So, how's Holly? And London? I haven't managed to make my way back all that much. And of course, how are you? Tell me everything."
