Caradoc got up fairly early in order to start preparing food for the Order folk who would be coming over for breakfast and hexing practice that morning. Emme had stayed the night in one of his guest rooms, but he didn't wake her, figuring everyone could use a little extra rest after the traumatic week. While he was cooking he sported his kiss the cook apron and sang along badly with the music on the wireless.
Breakfast comprised of pancakes (which Emme got to help make), eggs, toast, sausage, french toast, bacon, and waffles, and there was orange juice, tea, and coffee to drink. The food covered Doc's kitchen table so everyone was invited to sit around the living room while they ate. Doc periodically disappeared to make more coffee or tea if it was needed or even more food.
After breakfast Doc had everyone put their coats and scarves on and head outside for some hexing practice. His property is secluded from others in the area, so he wasn't worried about anyone seeing them. The target was a scarecrow that he had once put in a garden he had attempted to build. There were chairs for those who just wanted to watch or for people to sit in while they weren't taking their turning hexing the target. Once Doc had an idea of everyone's skill levels, he volunteered to actually demonstrate how to deflect their hexes so they got some practice with a moving target. If any got through and actually knocked him on his arse, he just laughed and got right back up with no hard feelings.
