"I will not let rebellions take hold at Hogwarts"
After the events of last night's detentions, Amycus Carrow was on a rampage of revenge. Despite how many times he questioned the idiot members that let themselves be ambushed, he couldn't for the life of him decide who to blame. He hated Neville Longbottom with every fiber of his being, but that little shit had been missing since their interrogation sessions last week. While a rational leader might have realized they themselves were wrong to believe a Gryffindor martyr such as Longbottom, Amycus was not that sort of leader. Instead... he chose the route of making his new lackey's pay for the mishaps of their weaker members. The need to build up a mutual hate for the other was very much present on his list of remedies to this growing pain in his side.
"As I'm sure you're aware our Dumbledore's Army problem is still very much a problem," the Deputy Headmaster walked ominously around the long table in which squad members were seated. "We now have them interrupting obedience sessions, and abducting students, which cannot be tolerated. To be entirely honest I blame this squad and it's inability to maintain structure over the student body. The fact that there were FIVE disobedient members of this assinine group leads me to believe that our work here has not been taken seriously, by your peers as well as yourselves."
"As such, you will now be responsible for meeting monthly quotas," Alecto chimed in as she placed a piece of blank parchment and a black quill in front of each squad member. "Every month you will be responsible for assigning seven detentions each for any infraction of school rules moving forward. You will report any other staff or prefect members not taking discipline seriously. That means if they don't serve a student clearly breaking the rules with a detention - you will."
"We need to assert our dominance on those who seek to rebel against the new order," Amycus added a finger abruptly pointing to the corkboard of suspects. "I expect those in this room to be keeping a very close eye on possible rebels amongst us. You will each be expected to turn in three reports a month on the interactions, activities, and whereabouts of individuals under suspicion."
"Hogwarts is destined to be a place where witches and wizards will be trained, organized, and respectful of rules, laws, and social expectations that are in place to preserve the wizarding way of life." Alecto added as she moved to the front of the table.
"Think of today as a reminder that the weakest amongst you will be the reason for the group to fail. And failure requires punishment," Amycus said as he joined his sister at the front of the table. "If one of you fails to accomplish your quota for the month everyone will be punished for it."
"If any of you manage to lose students during detention regardless of interruption from less-skilled students, you will all face the consequences," Alecto added.
"Repeat after me, ' I will not let rebellions take hold at Hogwarts.'" Amycus said, his posture stiff as he looked down his crooked nose at them.
The group mumbled the repetition at first.
"LOUDER!" Amycus slammed what looked to be a cane on the table, causing a number of the squad member's to jump.
The group repeated louder the phrase, 'I will not let rebellions take hold at Hogwarts.'
"Now write that twenty-five times so you don't forget it," Alecto hissed as her brother stepped away from the table and toward the exit. Alecto, clearly tasked with monitoring the squad through the assigned task she began to pace around tbe table again to maintain that those writing lines werent attempting to cheat, complain in excess, or refused all together. Those who failed to quietly and obediently write were certainly threatened with further punishments.
