Re: Axel: Rae & Fen
"It is a history." Fen didn't see it as woeful, but rather a thing he had bested and beaten. Each day was a fight unto itself in some way. Sometimes it was literal, violence and viscera, and other times it was more the struggle to find the quiet for which he also hungered.
"But there was never a shortage of teeth to my travels." His switching of topics was marked by barely a breath and Fen discarded all notion to hold up any veil over himself. "And is interest not subjective?" His version of a smirk, sharp and subtle, rounded out the question. "Perhaps it was not the number of the teeth but the size that has been the problem for my toes." It wasn't meant to be deep, Fen have never been the type to wax on or say much of anything.
"A good name for the crossroads." A dry nod was given, a testament to how many of them seemed to have wander through this place. "Was it wanderlust or direction that found you here?" It was a rare curiosity, but a pointed question for the world as Fen saw it too. Knowing how the world moved around you was often times just as important as knowing how you moved through it.
