Re: Axel: Damian, Leena, Misha, Sadie
It took her a half second too long to answer -- distracted by the feeling of Sadie's pinky curled around hers. It was subtle, and tiny, and seemed too small an act for the sudden rush of heat she felt settle in her belly, but there it was, and she side-glanced at Sadie before her attention settled back on her brother. "No, I still go occasionally on the weekends. It's just yard work, it's good though."
It wasn't here with lights and color and four walls boxing them in. It was outdoors, with the sting of the wind and the heat of the sun -- and she enjoyed it too much to give it up. "I did," she said with a roll of her shoulders. She could have dipped into the money she'd left herself, but she'd saved that and opted to work off the bill with Atticus.
It had worked out fine, and she laughed a little as Misha asked his question and Damian answered it. "Yeah, yes," she said as they started to draw away, her hand slipping easily into Sadie's.
There was a little bit of space between them and Damian and Misha, but she wasn't in a hurry to stay close -- a loose group was fine with her as she squeezed Sadie's fingers back and began to skate forward, slow, her left leg lagging slightly. "You like it?" She asked with a little smile.
"I hope so. I don't think I've ever gotten to see them when something wasn't going wrong," she said with a little tip of her head towards the boys.
