Re: Evans & Peel: Jack/Patrick/maybe Newt later.
Patrick had just finished his second beer when he realized this was probably most overwhelming for Newt. It was evident in the way the dude kept losing the conversation, and it was projected in the way Newt's eyes did not light on anything for more than a moment at best. He glanced at Jack, not because they had any inside conversation going, but wondering if the dude had noticed the same thing he (Patrick) had. "I think we were disposing of said body," he offered, not dropping the conversation, because he did not want Newt to feel he had interrupted anything meaningful; he winked.
He looked around when Jack mentioned the handyman (and after Newt's offered congratulations). "It is most impressive and ship-shape. But it is also most crowded. Is there anywhere more quiet to sit. A corner or a wall?" He craned his head, as if he was seeking such a thing for himself. Of course, the dude did not care about quiet for himself; Patrick liked being in the center of a crowd. But the bartender slid Newt his drink, and Patrick looked to Jack for directions to somewhere that was less overwhelming.
