Re: The Woods: Full Moon > Pack Trailers in the Woods
The alpha noticed him too. One skinny female was a lot different from a full-grown male, and as soon as the wind turned through the trees, the alpha halted and rotated, going low and questing for the added presence. He came right up to the young one on the edges and herded him into the center of the pack with quick snaps of bared teeth, until the center of the pack was a ring full of familiar faces and gleaming eyes.
He let the skinny female stay in the back with the grandmother, focused on the male. The black wolf let the snarl edge away as soon as the other one went where he was told. More posturing as the whole pack gave the two new ones various attentions, not-quite-greetings except where personality so dictated. The alpha made sure no one had the opportunity to run for it as dawn began to lighten the sky visible through the silhouettes of the trees, and then the pack spilled back into the depth of the woods, into a circle of trailers (most not particularly glamorous)that smelled like pack, people, and a whole lot of meat stored up for the full moon's breakfast BBQ.
Cisco changed first, standing on the edge of the central clearing near a semi-legal firepit. There was no happy mist, no blurring, no magical pixie dust. Bones shifted, skin squished, and four legs became two. Most of the pack followed soon after; no one was particularly worried about modesty, but there were a lot of loose clothes (sweatpants and such) hanging around on lines, and everyone got dressed whippet-y-quick, because it was damn cold out. Cisco put on a pair of blue sweatpants and stood with his arms folded over his bare chest to wait everyone out.
