"So you just need to work out when it'll happen." Julia smiled. It was warm, sympathetic.
But useful and disorienting and she laughed: it sounded surprised, caught off guard by the laugh even if it was her own. "Yeah, that about covers it. But if I speak it too loud or too often or to the wrong people," she said it breezy, like breezy would carry her through the afterthought. The truth was, Julia had nightmares in the dark over what finished that sentence.
"Not long." the generator. "She's kind of had it. She'll go for a little, but not for long." Julia looped fuzzy-blond behind one ear. "Look me up if you need help. Finding a new one, getting the old one going. Keep my secret, I'll keep yours."
