Re: [Study: Atticus/Aiden]
Works for me. [He said of 'being comfortable' as a style choice.] So, you're supposed to blend in for the likes of me. [Said with a smile and with a swirl of his own, newly filled glass. Was lazy, leaning back and lounging, but he sat up a little when Aiden explained that his blood opened portals.] You can bleed? [Was a stupid question, possibly, seeing as Aiden was currently bleeding, but had assumed that was like his haunts bleeding. In other words, had assumed it wasn't real blood.] Aren't dead then? [Would've asked more, but Aiden was showing his scarred hand, and Atticus hummed thoughtfully and then returned to his slouch, hands folded on his stomach.] Notice you ignored the whole thing about your postcard recipient. Say hello. It'll be good for you. [Was firm about it, but was the last he would say on the matter. Focused instead on Aiden's comment about human life being too short to spend fighting with loved ones.] Bet you see a lot of regret in your line of work. Not the dead person, but whoever's left in the room after the fact. [Glanced at the bone ring, and it was probably obvious he was wondering about who Aiden had left behind.] Sent Janus a postcard. Haven't heard back. Have seen Steve, and apparently he shut the door on the relationship with Janus. Complicated. Not sure what to do. Never sure what I want. Apparently, I wasn't made for certainty.
