Re: Adrian M/Claire J
From other points of view, I am probably the villain in this. I know they cannot stay forever, but I cannot just throw them out on the street either. The smartest thing would be to turn them over to the authorities, but I need evidence first. They may stay with me as long as they want. I also will not stop them if they leave. They are my responsibility for as long as they ask me to be. I am afraid it is only prolonging the inevitable, though.
My postcard partner was wonderful to write to. Exhilarating and lovely. I just get the feeling that they may want to remain anonymous, which I am happy to do if it means they keep talking to me. So good, but maybe not particularly easy? I am not all that great at friendships, due to a lack of experience. I am fairly certain the last couple required me to twist their arms to admit we were friends.
That is wise. It cannot be easy, certainly. But I am always here to help you through this in anyway you need me to. An ear to vent to. A dining partner for disgustingly fatty desserts. The latter is my favorite to deal with every situation. So if they do reach out, go try eating a piece of cheesecake or something first.
