Re: [Hookerville: Hannah & Reece]
Reece felt like he was digging himself into a ditch. Every syllable was a shovelful of dirt over the shoulder, and Hannah was telling him that she didn't know if she wanted to be copied or whatever, and then that things weren't always okay, and he just kind of smiled/grimaced at her. "Sure," he said when she finally smiled again, but he'd pretty much promised himself never to speak again by then.
"Oh." She said she'd cried, and Reece felt bad, uh, again, for bringing it up. "Yeah. I mean, yeah." She said she didn't want to be real, she just wanted to be her, which, Reece didn't think actually like, went against calling someone a 'who,' but she did, so he didn't say anything about it. "Okay." He gave her a smile, but just so she could think she was being reassuring, and, you know, this had probably been a bad idea. All of this. Saying it out loud. Saying it at all. And Reece nodded a few times distractedly before he stood. "I should go. I'll make sure to talk to Ren. Not about his new boyfriend. And thanks for listening." Even if he regretted every word. "I'll talk to you later, Hannah." With an awkward wave, Reece ducked quickly out of the trailer.
