She wasn't worried about his widening eye. She kind of maybe didn't even notice, and her finger was soft as feathers when she touched the delicate skin beneath his eye. "I think it's pretty. I think the arm's pretty too," she said truthfully, and she wasn't really thinking about whether or not that would make him uncomfortable. "I don't think matching matters, Reece. I think pretty things can be pretty without being like everything else." She knew the world wasn't like that much, and that different things were scary to people, but she believed her own words.
He leaned, closed his eyes, opened and closed them again, and she stayed there, there, present and watching, waiting and listening. "Okay. The Spain part is maybe weird. Have you been to Spain?" She was a curious thing, sitting forward a little and blinking cornflower eyes. "What's the other one?"
