Re: log: cat, matt, emily
[She looked at Matt for a long moment, another one of those considering gazes, though not quite as penetrating at the last. She was weighing her own options, not his character.] Only the very smallest areas. [Turning her hand carefully, she used her other hand to point out the three spots she'd noticed. They weren't each much bigger than the tip of one of her fingers, and they staggered across the outside edge of her wrist. Where she pointed were obviously the more damaged areas, deeply red and with the blisters having been burnt away. Nowhere that would affect her fingers or her dexterity, though it was enough that it would likely scar once it was healed.
Her gaze did sharpen at the mention of the hospital. There was indeed a reason she hadn't gone from the start. She didn't know what doctors would find if they started looking too closely, and that wasn't a can of worms she wanted to open. It was hard enough to tell the man in front of her that her month-old burn looked to be only a few days old, and she knew that he would keep that secret.] Mm. [The sound came from pressed-together lips, and was neither confirmation nor denial.]
