Re: postcard: castor & pollux.
[This postcard is blank on one side, and the writing on the other side isn't Pollux's writing. It comes tucked in with the standard paper.]
Castor,
I found this card in with all the others at the store, and I was curious about it. Since you created a story for the four women, then you can make up a story for this too. Who wrote it and why, Castor? I don't like texting, and I don't think I like the phone much. I like seeing people's faces when I talk to them. Do you like the water? Do we know each other well enough now for me to ask what smudged the card?
I'm always hopeful. It might not sound like it in these correspondences, but I am cheerful. I just like questioning things. I want to understand everything, and I think that sometimes comes across as negativity. Do I sound negative to you? You make road trips sound like something out of books or movies. I'll try to take a road trip sometime soon. Is there a requirement for how far I have to go?
Blaming people might be human nature. I think people don't like to be responsible for bad things, and so they make other people responsible. They can even convince themselves sometimes. And I know I make it sound like I want utopia, but maybe that's not right. I just don't want people to hurt other people. The rest can stay, and I think being stormtossed is important. I like chaos, and I'm more than a little crazy, and I like dirty things. I don't know that I want to be better. I want to enjoy myself. I want to have fun. If you could do anything right now, what would you do?
I still think I would fight for something I wanted to reclaim.
I'll tell all the bluebirds I see that Castor says hello. When they cock their heads and wonder who you are, I'll tell them that you're a good correspondent who thinks the world is maybe be better than it is.
Yours, Pollux
PS. Your penance is to include something in the next envelope with the card.
