Re: [postcard: scully & mulder]
[A connection between writers.]
Mulder,
Anonymity helps in these circumstances. It is far easier to be open and honest with someone you will never meet, than it is with someone you have to see every day. To not have to see the disappointment in their eyes. You have not disappointed me, so we are clear. There are always matters in our past that shaped us to who we are today, and it is very telling to have that sort of shame about what has been done, no matter the reasons. Thank you for telling me. It is nice to not feel so alone in this.
I will preface the answer to your question with the admission that I have not been in a relationship that has lasted more than a handful of weeks, so I've yet to feel what true love is. I do believe in it. My views on love are very romantic and optimistic. Idealistic, and perhaps, as you understand, quite impractical. We were made to love in every facet of the word. It should burn wild and bright for everyone. But true love? It burns brighter and hotter, and makes you want to give everything to that person. I believe in that all-encompassing type of fulfillment and commitment with every fiber of my being. All that said, I am not holding out for anything as I am well aware my life does not allow for romance. Such is the life of a UFO-hunting FBI agent. Right, Mulder?
Nothing you write is a waste of space on these cards, even if you did not know what you were talking about. I'm rather enjoying what you have to say. These are conversations that people do not have usually and I think that is amazing.
Is being a killer worth a second chance?
Most people would not consider being introduced to Mr. Gacy's artwork as pleasant. I recognize now that I have written it down that perhaps bringing the subject back up to the forefront was a mistake. It may not seem like it right now, but I actually do want you to have a pleasant night's sleep. Though, I do not think seeing the unpleasant side of you would be enough to stop writing.

P.S. I believe they are not giving the proper credit to some snowflakes that can blame themselves for anything.
