Ash's hand drifted idly to the black cord that hung around his neck. He rolled the single bead that hung on it between his fingers as he contemplated the best way to answer Ragnar's question. He decided that a shred of honesty was probably the best way to go about it. There was something about the other man that told the fox he wouldn't accept some made-up tale of lost love, nor did he need it.
"I've had partners before. Never for very long," He answered, "Either they were gone too soon, or they found my.. appetite a little too voracious and couldn't keep up." He shrugged, "I don't get too lonely. There's always company if you know where to look. Physical at least." The last word hung a little bitterly. Foxes were generally monogamous, but Ash had never felt the need to try and find a mate. Human lives were fleeting and any creature of longer mortality didn't satisfy his needs. Perhaps one day he'd find another Kitsune, but until then, physical would do.
