Ash blinked slowly, the story washing over him as Ragnar spoke, tinged with a hint of sadness, but only a hint. The man wasn't lying. Somehow he'd made peace with his personal tragedies which, though it was good for Ragnar, was not great for Ash. He offered a sympathetic smile. "That's quite the tale of woe you've got there," He replied, "If you're feeling suicidal then I guess that's what I should be getting you to talk about..." He trailed off and a slightly confused expression flashed briefly on his face. How could a man that had very little sorrow be contemplating suicide so regularly. There wasn't the sour tinge of depression on him. He certainly seemed to have some emotions...
"Do you feel like the world would be better off without you?" He asked, trying weakly to find out why the man sitting opposite him seemed like such an emotional enigma.
