Re: Sonrisa: oliver & hunter & appearances by cris
When Hunter questioned what Oliver intended to do, one narrow shoulder went up in the beginnings of a shrug, but the movement died before meeting its completion when Oliver remembered that the worst thing one could do was admit to a lack of familiarity or knowledge. Oliver wasn't sure what he could do to assist with the window, construction was a strange, unprecedented profession. His brother and himself were pretty good at pretending to fit in anywhere, and Oliver thought that he could bullshit his way through a general understanding of window repair… but it still seemed safer not to. "I'll just… man the front, for the customers."
The Sheriff took his leave, and Oliver watched Hunter for another moment that lingered longer than some might consider comfortable. It didn't take long for Hunter to vacate as well, and Oliver was left with the puppy chewing on his laces. He sniffed and edged away, jerking his shoe in the opposite direction. "Don't, there's paint on those. It's probably toxic… to babies and stuff." He wasn't sure, but he made a quick escape, clearing the top of the counter and landing on the other side before he started in the direction of the room that held rows of canvas and easels. The puppy trotted from behind, but Oliver wasn't nearly as annoyed as he hoped he looked, even with nobody around to observe him.
