Re: Log: Loki (Nish) and Aedan + Bartender
Loki snorted silent laughter at the sound of the cracked glass. “Evidently, I’ve hit a nerve,” he said, her eyes full of mirth. Somewhere, deep in the subconscious, he could hear Nish chuckling softly at the exchange, and it only encouraged him.
“And you already know who I am,” he said after Aedan’s introduction, leaning on the bar from where she stood and reaching for Aedan’s abandoned glass. “You know, there was a time, when people believed in gods without proof,” he said, holding the glass from the bottom between thumb and fingers, inspecting the liquid inside. “But I guess, those from a time before blind faith need to be reminded once in a while.” He gave a mock long-suffering sigh as the glass in his fingers slowly began to bloom with frost, coating the glass from the bottom up with an intricate pattern and chilling the whiskey inside. He set the glass back down at the bar, two melted fingerprints the only things marring the frost. “I’m disappointed in you, Kratos,” he said with a shrug of her shoulders and a hint of a smirk, and then turned to take Aeden’s arm. The frost was already melting.
“Yes, we shall,” he said, leaving the bar with him and not looking back.
“So, where is not far from here?” he asked, walking beside him with measured steps, looking for all the world like a normal couple going for a pleasant evening stroll.
