Re: Log: Loki (Nish) and Aedan + Bartender
There were very few times in his life where he was the one being pursued, instead of the opposite. And though she'd done nothing more than blush and smile, a bit of color across her cheeks that promised she was warm and living, there was that calculating look in her eyes. Maybe it was the pursuit of what she thought was deserving.
He wasn't a conquest though, not by a long shot. Treasure he knew, how to find it, how to horde it, how to steal it from someone else and he knew that he wasn't close to it. He could play though and without the look in her eyes, this was all fun.
And he could play. Making a show out of looking her over, he finally gave a minute shake of his head. "No, but if you were Loki, who says you would want to look like an ancient Norse God?" The questions were meant to deceive, to plant that seed of doubt that would make him convince himself that she wasn't Loki at all. So it was or and not a nickname then. He smiled easily. "I'm sure many fools have fallen into the trap of being beguiled by a beautiful woman."
