Re: Log: Loki (Nish) and Aedan + Bartender
“Sometimes you do,” Aedan replied teasingly. Half the fun of this was the quips they traded back and forth on the forums. In today’s world, wit was not always in great abundance, and he appreciated a show of it far more than anything else.
“What kind of stranger invites a man from the internet to meet them in a bar?” He parried back with a grin. The fact that he was being checked out didn’t escape him, but he didn’t move much, unwilling to interrupt the gaze. It wasn’t that often it happened to him, but he wasn’t so full of himself to preen under her attention.
For once.
“Probably someone without a lot to fear,” he finally answered honestly, smiling enough that the corners of his eyes crinkled. He wasn’t sure about that laugh, but it didn't sound cruel. A little internal conversation maybe. “I beieve this is where I compliment you on your wit and conversation — honestly, too. I don’t believe in denying what inrigues me.”
