Re: [Treatment Facility: Dami & Misha]
Misha, he didn't reckon maybe he wasn't helping by trying to protect Damian from being fussed. Could be he should've realized Damian would need to be able to tolerate being fussed, and that it was something that needed to be learned, but Misha was too caught up trying to make sure the other boy was in a bubble of being untroubled. It was a young thing to do, but they were both real young, and sometimes it showed more than others.
"She explained, but I didn't understand real good. I think they knew each other 'fore Repose, and then they just ran into each other again recent. I asked if it was more than friends, and Sadie said it wasn't." He took to twining individual curls 'round his fingers, one by one, slow and without any indication of rush. "What's easiest is being near you, on account of that's what I want to be doing. I can only see you a small spell daily, but I like knowing you ain't hours away. I'll go see her when you ain't receiving visitors. The bus ain't real awful." He looked on down at the other boy, and Damian's head was pillowed 'gainst shoulder again. "I reckon I do forget to do things sometimes, and I'll wait 'til you can be 'round for me when I require it."
He watched as Damian blinked slow. "You can sleep if you want," he said, after kissing them fingertips, and Damian was having himself a hard time keeping his eyes open. "I won't go 'til they kick me out," he promised, and he let his own eyes close just a spell when Damian pressed that off-the-mark kiss to warm skin. "It's quiet, mostly, and like there ain't no one but me when folks ain't talking. I can't feel you," he admitted, touching a finger to Damian's chin. "That's something I miss. Normal, I could tell where you are in a room without looking. I got to look now, and I hate not being able to come to you whenever I'm inclined, or to watch and make sure you're okay." That last bit, it sounded real pained. Misha, he wasn't accustomed to feeling powerless no more.
