Re: [Treatment Facility: Dami & Misha]
It was like when he, Misha, had walked through the door just now, and not looking good, it had immediately sent Damian somewhere bad, and there were walls here that kept Damian from using when that happened, but them walls didn't exist out there, and out there was where they lived. It was a learned thing, just like everything else was, being okay. But, and truthfully, Misha didn't begrudge Damian any. He just knew this was what Damian needed, even if Damian didn't see it real clear himself. They'd been doing this a year and a half now, and Misha knew how it needed to be for the time being.
"She'll be real well, thanks to you. I didn't even know she and Sadie knew each other, but seems they do and are close, and Sadie will coddle her plenty now she's coming," Misha said, and he was real sure 'bout his words. Sadie, she was one of them folks that gave and gave and gave, but Misha didn't ken why Damian seemed jealous any, though he recognized the jealousy in Damian's utterance. "I ain't staying in the city. I'm staying here, and I'll take the bus out to visit her once," he said firm. "I stayed out here to be near you," he reminded the other boy as plaid was plucked, and he didn't know Damian was thinking 'bout a sweaty day's work 'round others. Misha, he reckoned there wasn't time for nothing but working on a job. "I been eating fine." It was a lie, but Misha was slight and would always be slight. "You saying I don't look fetching?"
He ducked his chin some and watched Damian close his eyes. Fingers kept on stroking at dark curls, and Misha would've loved to just slouch 'nough to sleep on that comfortable chair with Damian warm and safe 'gainst him. "So you wouldn't go and leave me," he answered when Damian asked, honest 'bout his own selfishness and watching as Damian's gaze rested on chapped lips. Misha, he didn't expect sex or even kissing; Damian had called an embargo on bedding down after Misha had admitted to being insecure, and they'd only broken that embargo some 'fore everything fell to pieces.
Damian raised fingers to chapped lips, and Misha kissed Damian's fingertips. "It's taking some getting used to, but I ain't sorry for it."
