Re: [Capital University: Misha & Damian]
"Why'd you choose ass over dick?" Misha asked, like if they were talking 'bout choosing red over blue, and he smiled more when Damian said he'd break him, Misha, out of prison. "I ain't sure I'd make a real good damsel needing saving, but I reckon I'd be willing to find out," he teased.
And it was nice, teasing, and he would've kept on, but he reckoned talking 'bout this was important, 'bout the drugs, even if Misha was too careful some 'bout what needed discussing. It was why he hadn't commented on the confession or Damian's friends, on account of he wasn't certain what to say, though he was trying to suss it as he continued on. "Does being bored make things more tempting?" Then, he sighed some, and he looked on the other boy plain and true and honest. "I fret you'll tell yourself it ain't Morphine, and that it's fine on account, Dami," he said, and could be he was making too big a deal over this. Damian's friends smoked, and nothing bad came of it. Misha knew Eddie smoked too, since he knew it from the carnival days, but it didn't limit his fear any.
Tangling himself up in the boy, it was reactionary. It felt safe with Damian closer, and Misha knew this wasn't all 'bout him, but sometimes it was real hard to think beyond his own fears. He knew he had to think beyond himself, and it was real important, but he didn't have himself any easy time doing it. "I reckon, yes, the jealousy comment," he said, recalling it now, and his fingers kept on petting at Damian's chin brief, then were lost to the water. "I don't ken. I'm just saying I am possessive of you, and that my thinking on folks imagining you don't go against that. Folks think what they will. It ain't meaningful, since ain't nothing coming of it." He was quiet some. "Sometimes, I think you'd be a whole lot happier with someone who thought more like you, then you wouldn't be fussed so often. Hear me out 'fore you begin saying I'm a fool," he said, interrupting any protest that might come. "I could talk to Janus 'bout it, 'bout being different. I don't reckon it's outside what he can do, and then we won't need to worry 'bout the angeling neither."
