Re: Quicklog: Dinner and company
Dietre couldn't quite agree about Misha's taste in people, not when he had someone like Damian for a lover. The only redeemable quality he could find in Damian was his generosity, though, because the man was rich, he didn't feel it counted for much. He'd never understand what Misha saw in him, or even what Oliver saw to be attracted enough to cause the tension he spoke of. He hoped Adrian would be a good person, or, at least, easy to live with. But he didn't want to think too far ahead right now, it was better to just exist in the moment and focus on eating and the sound of Sadie's voice.
While Dietre found awkward silences painful beyond expression he also appreciated calm, peaceful moments of quiet. He and Liam could sit in silence with one another and Dietre felt as close as if they'd divulged a lifetime of secrets between each other. But-- No. Liam was something he shouldn't think about. Just like the future, he preferred to block him out.
"I haven't been playing any one composer in particular. Just... whatever comes to me." He stirred his soup, almost finished. He had been hungry and had eaten faster than usual. "I didn't think you'd take my suggestions so seriously... I really would like to play that piece by Ravel with you, sometime."
A pause, then a softly spoken bit of personal information. "It reminds me of my mother..." Another painful subject, but one he felt strangely comfortable bringing up all of a sudden. Perhaps because Sadie was a woman.
