Quicklog: Dinner and company
"Hi Sieglinde." She carefully set down the tea pitcher then, balancing herself easily as she held out an upturned palm so the dog could have her sniff and get used to her scent. "Aren'ae ye' jus' the most precious thing." She chirped her voice, about like one would at a babe. "She's lovely she is." Because it seemed a very happy dog and that, Sadie had found, usually said a lot about its owner.
Plus she was glad it wasn't a cat. Cat's usually didn't like her, which was pretty unfortunate because Sadie, she loved them plenty. Some cats she'd found didn't seem to mind, like people they were, and that was a real comforting thought some given how many many folks here hadn't come to mind her any.
It was one of the many reasons why, without even knowing what was asked of her when Misha had said he needed a favor, she'd already said yes. It was why she didn't look the least bit put out none by the state of anything. This place had done so much for her in the months she'd been here and now Sadie was having her chance to give back.
"This place is grand, quite like." Her commentary was genuine but soft as she went following his gesture after picking up the tea. She'd set down her violin first, out of the way as much as it could be. "Really love what you done with such tiny space. Might 'ave to 'ave ye' come look at me trailer, if'n ye'd be so kind?" Sadie forced out a small laugh, thinking perhaps it might do some good to take the focus off the lad who looked so out of sorts.
She knew. She'd been there, or at least some place like it. She'd spent a year there and...
"And yer welcome." She said kindly, pulling down the first of the bowls as she unpacked the soup and bread. "Really, tis' a pleasure." She turned those big eyes up at him before she began to spoon things out and start getting them served. "And Dietre? Ye' dun 'ave to stand on ceremony like for me yeah?" She knew it was bold and could well have been the wrong read, but Sadie had thought about what she might've wanted to be told, had the tables been turned.
The first thing that came to mind was that she was okay, in whatever state she was in, and that was exactly what she planned to tell him.
"I'm right rubbish at 'avin' a place." She gave a roundabout wave of her free hand as she dropped the first spoon into a bowl and moved to bring it to Dietre with a piece of the still warm bread. "This the first place I even tried what to put me feet up, so's mostly I'm just sittin' around by meself not sure what to do." She handed him the bowl with a soft smile. "Real excited I am to be able to sit down and have a proper dinner with you I am." She muted her accent some on purpose, making sure she was heard and not pushing her thoughts out too far.
"So thank you too. Is what I mean to say." She finished, collecting her own bowl before she moved back. "So. Do ye' sit or stand for your food? I stand meself, but I'm easy."
