Quicklog: Dinner and company
Sadie, she'd been raised big on manners she had, but this was a horse of a different color than most. Misha had reached out to her, asking her to go round and check on a person. Never before had she been asked to do such a thing and right touched she was it'd happened at all. On top of all that, it was someone she'd liked talking to about music and, from what she'd been able to put together, was hardly having the best of a go right now. Add to that the notion that Dietre had said the door would be open and Sadie figured maybe t'was meant for her to just walk right in? Even if she was wrong, she figured that was better than not, save if hunger had finally dropped someone from fatigue.
The friendly barking was a welcome sound too, even it did drown out the sound of a voice she'd have rather heard before turning the handle and stepping in through the door. Big, bright, eyes would settle on the dog first and that lit her face up like a Christmas tree. She loved dogs (really, unless they were mean, Sadie loved everything with a pulse that wasn't a mosquito) and she hadn't seen one in quite awhile. She'd have probably set everything down all at once and run to love on the thing, if it hadn't been for the sight on the far side of the fluffy beast.
"'ullo there!" She chimed, awkwardly trying to figure out if there was a way to adjust things so she could shake his hand (there wasn't) before she just smiled at him instead. "So nice to finally meet you — and don't you mention it a bit, yeah? Doin' me a right proper favor you are, helpin' not ta' waste the food." Her voice was friendly, but her expression was soft. She tried her best to keep concern from washing over her expression, but Sadie's poker face had always been garbage.
"And 'oo's this'n then huh?" She dropped her voice to a more exaggerated tone, hoping that perhaps by addressing the dog she wouldn't draw too much attention to anything and make anyone uncomfortable. She knew how that went, how those looks could be double edged, and thought it best to avoid then.
"Food's plenty warm, I ran it onn'a stove, so all's what's needed is some bowls for the soup and some spoons for eatin'?" She was careful now, putting things as questions. "If'n you'd be so kind as to show me the way, be happy to serve some out for you even?" She added gently. "And then we'll set about proper meetings and introductions like?"
