Re: Quicklog: Sadie and Misha
Plain as day, she didn't want to answer him. 'Course, just the same, there was a way those big, blue, eyes lifted up to say precisely that she intended to do just that. It didn't hurt any that she'd seen that look, that she'd heard those exact words, 'You come sit and talk to me', in just that tone before. Sadie knew what it meant and knew there was no getting out of it, so what little struggle she felt inclined to put up? Bottom line was, that fight was already lost.
"Yeah." She cleared her throat, being careful now. She wanted to do what he'd asked, not only 'cause he'd asked and that alone was good enough, but she knew it was what needed to be done here. "Been given up plenty. Kind of a theme it is." She just gave a sheepish but of a shrug. "Like I said, s'how I ended up on the road, in a roundabout kind of way." She paused just then, thinking on if she should go into more detail there but ultimately decided against it.
"Which is not so bad really, when you see it put me here and now, in me own trailer, with a good sorted person in a room that smells like cookies." Because that was always Sadie's way too, trying to frost everything in cream and sugar like, even the sad parts.
