Re: Quicklog: Sadie and Misha
"Well you just leave the cooking to us then." She chirped, both in agreement to his suggestion and hopefully convening how thrilled she was at the idea. Damian might have intimidated her plenty, but Misha was top of the charts when it came to the type of person she liked. She figured there was more to him than the one time she'd met him or, at the absolute least, Misha obviously had a grand fondness for him, and that was enough for Sadie to put just about anything aside. "Can even whip somethin' up and bring it roun' for buskin', play for the day then make a dinner of it at the end." She smiled. "Plus the fiddle sounds real good on the lake from my way o'thinkin'."
"Yer more'n welcome, you are." More big smiles came his way as she adjusted herself and got more comfortable sitting. "Always liked puttin' 'em both together." She added to his story before quirking her brow just slightly. She hadn't thought about that, what with it being a memory tied to her Da an all, but it felt real good to share it just then and she followed it up with a humming sip at her own drink.
What came next was thought and one of the many reasons why she'd felt at home with Misha almost at once. Nothing about him seemed the least bit put off by her and he always seemed to have a nice thing to share. He reminded her plenty of home and she could have easily seen him being one of the many folks hauled in by the shirt by her Grandma for a hot meal and a bit of fiddling.
"Big changes take time." She chimed, not at all seeming dour about the subject. She was putting in said time, here and now was a real good example of that. "Place has a real good way about it, it does, good people too." She gave a tip of her cup in his direction with that. "Road did get real lonesome, find I'm not missin' that none a bit, but you e'er find it coming up for you, you jus' call and I'll be on my way, yeah?" It was easily one of the worst feelings in the world, one she'd stomp out at every opportunity she saw to do so, and putting that on offer felt real important just then — even if she was certain he probably had it covered.
"Met a few folks I have, Carnvial folk and the like." Beau, she was mighty fond of. "Went out shoppin' with some recent, got myself some new cuts I did. Thought on outfits for stage things and the like, but not there yet." She tapped a thoughtful finger on her chin just then, more trying to think of what to tell him next than what to say at all. Repose had done a lot for her and it showed real well in how pleased as punch she looked.
"Met a nice lady when I was buskin' still, 'fore the Carnival. She let me stay with her some at the motel and we been gettin' on good. Family like, reminds me of a big sister o'some'in. Real nice she is. Sure as the sun comes up, more's a comin', but I like to take time, make sure there's time in'a day for everyone." It was a new turn, one she was working a lot harder on now that she had her feet under her, and that's why she'd reached out to Misha too.
"Spring's lovely for tha', tis, it is." Words fell easily now, more so than they had in ages and Sadie? She could passed for a sun all her own. "Heard about the book party I did, was sad I missed it what with bein' all sleepy headed." Which she'd not elaborate on just now. "'Course, also heard some things what suggest missin' it might'a been not for the worse? Hopefully you got no stories 'bout it that read unpleasant like?"
His smile was mirrored when he said Damian was doing well. The fondness was on display real propper like and it warmed her all the way to see. "Well if that's not jus' a wonderful turn fer the both o'you!" She beamed all the more, making notes of things to use in future conversations when she visited them. "And yer always welcome to come see me, buskin' or up on'a stage like." She smirked before she finished the thought. "And you e'er find yerself missin' fiddlin', street or stage like, there's always a spot open for ye'"
