Re: Log, coffeeshop: Ren S & Newt P
Whatever Ren meant about family, Newt didn't understand it precisely. It was vague and shadowy, and likely that was how it was meant to be. He accepted it and he didn't press the man further. "Ah," was all he said as he took up the teacup. He smiled back about Romania. He did like it there, and he had been in Repose quite a long time. Perhaps he ought travel again. It would be a good time to get away, with all the nonsense with Adrian.
"I've been here since January of last year." He sipped his tea, which meant he burnt his tongue ever so slightly. He didn't flinch. He folded his bottom lip under a rind of teeth, set the cup back down, gave himself a moment, and carried on. "I don't know what I'll do, really. Jack's here, and we're just getting to know one another." Newt's gaze flickered upward, candle flame reaching. "For the time being, I suppose so. I'm finishing my book soon, and then I don't know what I'll do with myself. What about you?"
