Re: [mary/patrick save a girl]
"I have superior musical taste," he insisted, his grin Gunster-wide. Life had been most challenging as of late, but a goal made him feel better. He did not think about the fact that he was missing this recently, because the dude had not yet realized that part of the problem with returning to Repose was that he had no set purpose. Sure, the dude had a job, but that was not the same as having a goal.
Inside, he greeted the dude he had gotten to know over the two years he'd been away. This version of the huntsman would never be that dude, but Patrick liked this guy, man. He was conflicted, and Patrick understood that sentiment. But, Del, she turned on the soon-to-be-queen thing, and Patrick fell back and allowed her to do her thing. After all, Del was the huntsman's rightful leader, and this was something he respected.
He waited until she was done, and then nodded most respectfully when she said they were to go be heroes. He bid farewell to the dude, and he pulled the stones out when they were beyond the hut door and on the landing. Then, he grinned at her. "We are going to kick ass, my girl," he said, and then he held out the hand that held all three stones nestled in his palm. There was no chron, and the stones glowed a bright and brilliant blue. "Touch them, and it will place us where you wish," he told her, and he absolutely trusted her to make the best decision.
