"Well, if you say so charming. I guess this is the advantage of literally coming out of a story book. She grinned back at him. It was hard to stay pessimistic around Patrick. Even when they had their radio adventures, he always tried to look on the brighter side of things. It had the tendency to be infectious.
"I'm lucky I had my memory temporarily wiped when I got dropped in the real world. I would not know how to deal with any of the modern day clothing choices." She lifted her finger off his sword and took a step away from him. "I think that's enough boasting, charming. Unless you want me to prove I could take you down even without experience?" She shot a grin and a wink back at him before heading into the hut. She unrolled a piece of weathered parchment and slowed to a stop so that Patrick could see.
On it was a very simple layout of the family catacombs. She just needed the huntsman to pinpoint where his daughter was and then they could be off.
