Re: [B&B: Nish & Atticus & Aiden]
The introduction had worked as well as expected. The girl, woman - he reminded himself, she was a woman by normal standards and to beings not as old as dirt, was no spirit of the recently deceased. To be fair Aiden’s deathbed manners used to be constricted mainly to battlefields, no tact needed amid all the gore. In sum he was useless when it came to comforting the living. So he stood there awkwardly and let Atticus do his thing.
He was however impressed by all the books, impressed and somewhat distracted. A good read was hard to find without access to a library and the novels left behind on park benches tended to be mind-numbingly ridiculous. He had recently read the manual for a washing machine out of sheer boredom. Aiden let his gaze wander for a second, cataloging the titles on spines and covers, before shifting his focus back to the woman and her ghostly stalker.
The being formerly known as James didn’t look too good, his soul on the other hand was still intact, no big chunks chipped away or blackened by time. He wouldn’t have any difficulties sending it over, if that was what Nish wanted.
