Re: [B&B: Nish & Atticus & Aiden, entrance]
Bones were bones. Wasn't a nice way to look at it, but seeing the restless dead had disabused Atticus of any notion that people were just bodies. Hadn't been an atheist to begin with. Appreciated science and scientific advancements, but once you saw the restless dead, you realized people weren't just flesh and blood. Sorry, science. Didn't think this was faith, precisely, but was something similarly aligned.
"OK. Will let you introduce yourself, then will make James solid. You look better than he does." Was teasing. Was irreverent, but sometimes a person had to be irreverent, especially when the dead were everywhere. Had questions to ask Aiden about, well, Aiden. Those would hold. Figured he would see the reaper after this; the first floor of the B&B was Repose's version of a nursing home, and people lived out their days along this hall. Gladys would be joined by Mildred, Anne, and Jacob. Was how life went.
Glanced back at the reaper. Grinned. Walked out into the hall. Toward the study.
