Re: [B&B: Nish & Atticus & Aiden, entrance]
The old lady hadn't brought a lot of personal items with her, Aiden did however transfer a rosary from the nightstand into the dead woman’s hand and closed her fingers around it. The portal he'd sent her soul through, closing behind him, its residual energy fizzling out slowly. He had started making the cuts on his non-dominant right hand, the left littered in small uneven gashes in various stages of healing, and as had become a habit now, he popped the sluggishly bleeding tip of his finger into his mouth to clean off the last remains of his blood, leaving a small streak of it on his lower lip in the process. All the technological advances and he still needed to use his blood to create a portal.
Just as he was about to strike Gladys name off his list there were sounds coming from downstairs, clearly the human inhabitants moving, someone coming closer. He wasn't bothered, why should he have been? So he took his time erasing her name off the long neat line of names provided to him.
Aiden was about to leave when the footsteps suddenly halted in front of the room he was currently in. Nothing for a few seconds, then a male voice spoke, the sound muffled by the door separating them. Interesting, for a human to sniff out death like that. Maybe it was a coincidence. He immediately felt silly for freezing, like his stillness would act as a camouflage to someone behind a wooden barrier.
He chose not to answer, not to give away his presence. Whoever it was would leave, or chose to enter and find the room empty. Except for the stiff, of corpse.
