Re: [B&B: Nish & Atticus & Aiden, entrance]
James noticed immediately when Aiden entered the building. When before he was standing a few paces behind Nish, absently looking around the room, only half paying attention to what was being said, now he had sidled closer to her, a bit of worry creasing his bloodied brow.
Nish, however, was oblivious to the new development, and her smile grew just a little with Atticus’ greeting. She crossed the room and sat down in the offered chair, being sure to leave the door open as instructed. James kept his eyes nervously on the visible patch of hallway, as if worried about what or who may come through it. “I’m glad they’re looking into it,” she said about the doctors. He really looked ill, though he was obviously well enough to see her since he’d contacted her.
“Sure,” she said to the offer of coffee, letting her purse fall to the floor next to her. “I did; it was…strange,” she said, wondering how much of what had happened at the Vade party she should say. Was the strange experience she’d had something that was unique to her, or had similar things happened to everyone? “I learned something about myself that I’m still thinking over, but I guess that’s the mark of a good book, right?” she said with a shrug, attempting to make light of the harrowing experience.
She took a breath and sighed it out slowly, now looking around herself, as if looking for James. He was still standing behind her, eyes still fixed on the hall. “So…how does this work?” she asked, unsure of what exactly would be happening, now that she was here.
