Re: [arcade: hannah, david, eddie]
The arcade was known for misbehaving and it was on its worst behavior at night. Eddie's favorite machine, a beautiful Simpsons pinball cabinet, had a tendency to terrorize anyone who dared put in a quarter. Across the arcade, a Time Crisis machine sometimes had its plastic pink and blue guns raise out of the holsters and play itself. Machines all over the arcade started themselves, changed the top scores, glitched out. Eddie needed the energy of the other world to do his magic, so these ghostly gags were just pleasant side effects.
He heard the front door open from his office. He was sitting back in his chair, vaping peacefully as he went over the numbers. Eddie was dressed sharp as always, a dark green suit, black tie and violet shades that displayed numbers a code in endless scrolls. He walked out and greeted them with a warm, uncomplicated smile. Eddie took his glasses off, tucking them in the front of his jacket.
"Welcome to my arcade." He didn't give David much of a look over. He didn't need to. Eddie already could sense the obscura. Instead he held an arm out for Hannah so they could hug. "I'm glad we all got out of that book party in one piece." Eddie turned to Hannah's brother and held his hand out. "Eddie Nelson."
