Do you think telling him what he's afraid of isn't real helps him? I don't. He's not like you or me. He's not had to deal with any of this. He can fit in, you know, if he wants to. He has. He's grown up differently. When our identity changes, even if it shifts, it's terrifying. You should know that, having had to come to terms with Sue. It doesn't matter if it looks easy to someone else.
