[And it very well might.
Newt sighed about his uncertainty. He might've answered, about what he'd've done, regarding the kiss, but Patrick told him to wait.] They say it's a cycle. The abuse. And that we find people with whom we can have familiar relationships with. [Newt shrugged.—He didn't realize the danger here, with the huntsman, was so great, or he'd've not been yammering on about Adrian, that much was certain. Newt's expression moved to incredulity when Patrick said 'if I do not return.'] You better had. [He took a step closer to Patrick.] If I liked you and I thought you liked me, what would I do? I suppose I would just—[Newt went ahead and closed the space between them now, to kiss Patrick, his hands to the man's cheeks cold-palmed.]
