Re: [The Bridge over the River: Patrick/Newt]
[Dude gave Newt an incredulous look.] No, man, Adrian is not more feminine than you. [Patrick was still hung up on the physical, and he did not perceive Adrian as more feminine than the man in front of him. No way, man.] Maybe he is more emotionally fragile, but he is not more feminine. [But he already knew Newt liked to bottom. This was not to say the dude had been thinking about it, or that the dude would admit to thinking about it. He was most certainly turning red, but he allowed himself one more question:] Does it not hurt?
[So, right, firearms were a much safer topic, but the dude was not surprised when Newt did not pursue said topic, and then Newt was looking entirely uncomfortable, and the dude was left trying to understand why as Newt looked at his own feet. The way Newt asked the question - abusive? - made Patrick comprehend somewhat, and he felt like he would be most callous to move to wanting to kiss the dude right then. So, he allowed Newt to voice his concern, and then he spoke.] Newt, man, you have never been uncertain around me before. Do not start being this way now. You do not need to ask for permission. I made a joke, but this was no edict. If I was not me, and we were not who we are and caught in this mess, what would you do? [He shook his head.] But, wait a moment. I feel badly moving onto this topic and neglecting the last. I did not mean you were abusive to Adrian, if this is what you understood me to mean. I mean your relation with him is harmful, dude. This is all, and I think you are down right now, and I think it is bleeding into everything.
[Patrick did not feel good either, but he was attempting to focus. He only had a few remaining moments anyway, and he was highly conscious of this, and of the very real possibility that neither he nor Del would return, despite his most determined optimism.] If I do not return, I just want to know that you will not remain in this cycle with Adrian, Newt. That is all.
