Re: [Dylan + Hannah: Facility]
"I didn't have lunches in brown bags either." The only reason Hannah even knew the reference was because she'd seen mothers on Netflix shows make sandwiches for their children. Her knowledge was limited to things Amy had experienced, and Amy's private school had never involved lunches in brown bags. But Hannah didn't yearn for food, not the way he did, or that she assumed he did. She saw delight on his face when he talked about bruschetta and brie on baguettes, and she thought maybe he should be doing something with that instead of doing whatever he did here. She'd thought it before, but now she thought it again, and she wondered if he'd ever played in the kitchen here. "The kitchen here is really big. I bet you could make something wonderful in it. I'm allowed to use it after hours. Sometime, you could come make us something."
She smiled at him, and she took her final nibble of her sandwich. Her pudding was next, and Hannah really loved chocolate pudding. It had a little dollop of thick whipped cream, and she dipped her spoon in and picked up just the smallest bit. "We can be comedians if our current careers don't work out," she teased. "Your sister sounds really sweet. It's hard to think about other people when you don't feel well yourself, and I think it's really easy to feel sorry for yourself. It doesn't sound like she does that." She tucked her spoonful of pudding between her lips, and then she motioned to his lasagna with her spoon. "Is it good?"
