Re: Quicklog, Motel: Hannah S/Reece E
[It was, for all intents and purposes (compared to the rest of the motel), a nice room. I mean, it wasn't a nice room, but relatively speaking, it was a nice room. The floor seemed clean, which Reece noticed because he was staring at it through water-spotted glasses, and, when he glanced up, the bed seemed way better than the ones downstairs too. Or the bedding was, anyway.—Hannah, obviously, looked nice too, inasmuch as Reece noticed. He hadn't actually seen her. Like. Since she'd been in Repose, which was weird, and he felt a little bad about that, about this being when he came to her, but, it was too late to change that.
She let him in, and then hugged him, and Reece was an awkward guy. He always had been. He wasn't as gangly as he'd once been, but he wasn't super used to being hugged or anything. Still, uh, he hugged her back, blushing as he did so.] Hey, man, thanks. [She handed him a drink and he looked at it as he took it between metallic fingers with a clink. Reece went to the bed and, after shedding his shoes, he sat. Then, before he answered, he just downed the sticky vodka that made him shiver and have flashbacks to college that felt like PTSD or something.] God. [He made a face and slid from the white comforter to socked feet. He went to the ice bucket, but looked to Hannah as he did so. He sniffled pathetically.] Man, Cat's like, breaking up with me.
