Re: Quicklog, Motel: Hannah S/Reece E
[Hannah didn't always stay at the motel, but she'd at least tried to make it a little pretty. She'd changed the sheets and the pillows, and she'd gotten a nice television, and she hung curtains. It made a difference. Oh! And she'd also cleaned the carpet with one of those soapy vacuums they rented at the hardware store. It looked a lot better than it had at first, and she was near the door wearing soft sweats and a sweater, glasses on her face and a smile on her lips that slipped away when she actually looked at him. He looked really, really bad.]
Hi. Come inside. [He didn't hug him right away, because getting him inside seemed more important, and she just tugged on his arm and closed the door behind him. Inside, the Wizard of Oz was playing on the television, and she'd pulled out the vodka and Sprite and set it on the tiny table. There was a bucket of ice beside the bottles, and there were two glasses there, and she gave him a hug as soon as they were inside with the door securely bolted. It was a warm hug, lingering, and she really didn't have any sense of personal space. So, once he pulled back, she went and poured him a drink, and then she held it out.] I made it look a little better. What happened?
