Ethan squinted out into the weather, not really needing to see. He knew this town like the back of his hand. He could navigate it in various levels of sleep and drunken haze and he knew there was nothing out there. "Except he's three and I work with kids, they can motor along, but at that age..." He trailed off, biting his lip. The little little kids he'd seen would have gotten tired. They would have sat down and cried until someone found them and brought a snack. This wasn't a rebellious six year old hoping to dodge his nanny and in search of ice cream. He rubbed the light dusting of stubble on his chin, mostly out of nerves. "I keep thinking he saw...someone."
