At that point his parents had been giving him definite opinions about what they wanted him to do and he'd been trying to push any possibility of it away.
He took a swallow, letting the taste settle. It was a decent beer, still cool, and he turned the glass in his hand as he listened. Because the rest of it wasn't really any sort of smiling matter. Nor had he known anything about it. Of course, why would he have? He and Adrian were new friends at best.
"Yeah it would be," he offered, before taking another drink. "Do you think it's the right thing, to give up trying?"
