"Book party?" He raised an eyebrow, but there was a smile. "Don't tell me I've been so self-absorbed over the past few weeks I've missed an important announcement." A book party sounded enjoyable, if he were being honest. He didn't know exactly what it might entail, but he made a note to possibly do it. And, since she was mentioning it, maybe to write again. "I'd have to get a good notebook," he reached for his food, and took a bite of the curry. "You probably wouldn't believe that I write everything by hand. No computers for me. I tried an old typewriter once, but it was too much work to keep in order."
He tilted his head, watching her, smiling as he did so. Meeting Hannah in the laundromat had been completely unplanned but he was glad that he had. More grateful even then he might be able to put into words. Her complete lack of awkwardness about everything, meant that he strangely had relaxed around her, feeling less awkward himself. "It sounds like it was a worthwhile tree then," he mused thoughtfully. "What happened to it?"
Wine was reached for again, chasing down the last of the dish he'd chosen, and he looked down at his plate, thoughtful. "Maybe someday," he decided, letting his fingers press hers back, and he looked back up to meet her gaze. "I think that's for a third or fourth practice date - at least."
