"What sort of contract?" He asked, even if maybe he shouldn't have. Hannah brought out a protectiveness in himself that he couldn't entirely explain. It wasn't that he felt she couldn't take care of herself in a situation, obviously that wasn't the case. The motel was hardly a posh place, and they'd been together in a few situations that were a long way from 'safe', and yet, he still didn't like the idea of her doing anything in the Red Light District, and he couldn't say why. He wasn't a prude, not by a long shot, but the fact that she was stuck someplace with a contract she couldn't get out of, and was thinking to do something like that for extra money. "That's good," he said. "I mean, the friend. I agree with your friend, by the way, you should be sure it's something that is going to be safe to earn that money."
He chewed on his lip a little. "Places like that can get rough, and don't get me wrong, I'm not offended by them, but I know sometimes they're bad for..." He stopped, he'd been about to say women, but he was aware enough to know it could be for people, in general. He shrugged. "For people if you end up with the wrong situation. I just want you to be safe."
Or at least, safe enough. Even if he could understand the allure of doing your own thing.
"You can read dramatically, yeah?" Ren asked, smile turning up the corners of his lips. "That's part of it. It's not quite as much of the stress of acting either. But, I don't know - I've been going back and forth between something more lowkey and modern, and something more classic and highbrow. I was thinking it would need to be something with fewer parts, more than likely, or at least it could be performed by a cast that's fairly small 4-5 maybe. That limits somewhat."
