[restaurant; ren & hannah]
Ren chuckled at the curtsy. It was formal, but it suited Hannah, and it suited the sort of on again off again conversation they had with Austen and the Bronte sisters, harking back to a more civilised age, perhaps, if one that Ren didn't exactly have any particular fancy to return to.
Then again, he had fun with Hannah, so perhaps there wasn't something all bad about returning to something a little formal after all, even if probably this would be quite a scandal for an Austen date. No chaperone's, unwed, nobody to observe the turn about the room.
"We can order the tempura veggies, and the shrimp if you like it," he said. "They're not sacred, or if they are, you're worthy of getting to partake," his eyes twinkled at her. "What else do you want to know about the menu? Do you like spicy foods, or do you prefer things that are a bit milder? Some of the things you can have them adjust the flavor, but others simply are one or the other and I might be able to tell you which is which, depending."
He reached for the water they'd been given and pretended to ponder deeply. "I think that I should start theatre in Repose, that's what I think. What do you say?"
