Re: Bad Diner: Rory/Claire
Sleepyhead was in reference to the fact that it was well after lunch time. It certainly did not have to do with how Rory looked, which she could appreciate on a purely aesthetic level. She had a thing for older men, darker features, and God help her if they were Irish. Still, she smirked fond as he messed with his hair, and tried not to get too overwhelmed by mother-hen feelings when he admitted that he couldn't get much worse. She worried. That was what she did. Even for a Hellhound.
"Good?" Was there anything particularly good here? "Deep-fried waffles, if you are into that sort of decadence. Stay away from the blueberries. The pancakes here are too thin to hold them well, and they are usually ... not fresh." Perhaps she meant that they were frozen, but it was more likely that she meant they were a day or two rotted out. Ignoring her menu, her eyebrows raised in show that Claire had not expected Rory to have been out quite that long. "You did not even have time to enjoy that bottle of Dalmore Trinitas? That is a shame." She had called in quite a few overseas favors to swing something special from the distillery. If Claire hadn't performed an exorcism on the owner's son, that bottle would have never gotten into her hands to give to Rory.
"The memories," she chuckled a bit under her breath about it, now that it was all over with, and shrugged out of her army jacket as Rory proceeded to ruin his coffee with cream. She hated milk in her coffee, but he was probably right about it being the only thing that would save that cup of black bile. "The annoying little chaos creature decided to have some fun and messed with people's minds in town. The Capital was wracked in violence. Repose had false memories all over the place. They were not all bad, but it was enough to make people doubt their own minds. It made the werewolves go all weird." A pause as she turned grey eyes pointedly to her breakfast companion, "There was a black wolf that killed someone in the strip club. I am going to assume it was not you." That was far more of an interrogating question than a statement, but Claire did believe Rory did not have anything to do with what happened. She just needed to be sure.
