He's a good man. The two of you are far too giving, and I don't mean that as a complaint. Housing is expensive, it was cheap back then. They wouldn't have sold to either of us if we tried. [It was unfortunate. That house with the white picket fence, green grass, a tree to sit under- all those images of home he sent to Misha.] I felt it was right. You never truly know what you have until you hold it again. Wrapping my arms around him was like coming home.
Dietre needs people, he needs to grow. He needs to learn to care for himself because there's a great deal to love. He will make someone very happy when he learns this. He is very charming, and very sweet once you get by all of those defenses. I could never truly love him the way he wanted. My heart always belonged to someone else.
I feel lighter. The wings are still there, I suppose I'll always have that burden. I am no longer welcome, but they would not feed me to the wolves.
